Updated: Jul 28

The Merced Multi-Benefit Land Repurposing Program (MLRP) Interactive Mapping Tool features user-friendly technology to help applicants explore information relevant to land repurposing project ideas.

Tool Description

This interactive mapping platform includes multiple variables that can help applicants assess a site's suitability for land repurposing in the Merced Subbasin. The tool organizes data according to the primary benefit categories outlined in the Request for Projects (RFP):

  • Water Quality and Supply

  • Disadvantaged Community Benefits

  • Agricultural and Ecological Resiliency

  • Regional Ecological Benefits

Additionally, it features supplementary reference layers to help users orient themselves, including:

  • Cities and places

  • Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs)

  • Public Land Survey System (PLSS) plots

Purpose

The Interactive Mapping Tool is designed to support MLRP applicants by facilitating access to relevant spatial data and reducing barriers to participation in the application process. By providing a centralized platform to access and explore essential data, the tool empowers users to make informed decisions and engage effectively in the MLRP landscape.
