Community & Stakeholder Participation
An important component of the Merced MLRP Program focuses on education and outreach to local stakeholders to integrate their feedback into the program’s development. Outreach and education efforts include: meetings with diverse stakeholder groups; targeted outreach to disadvantaged community members, farmers, and landowners; curriculum development that aims to educate stakeholders about local land repurposing; and opportunities for community members to engage in citizen science by monitoring air quality and nitrate for water quality in local households.
Get Involved!
Landowners, farmers and ranchers, community members, Tribal members, and other stakeholders with an interest in the Merced Subbasin are all encouraged to participate in the program and provide input. Contact the Merced MLRP team to learn more about opportunities to get involved.
Stakeholder Advisory Committee
The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) plays an important role in the Merced Subbasin Multibenefit Land Repurposing Program (MLRP), helping to inform how our community addresses the need to reduce water use while maintaining natural and working lands and providing community benefits.
